After defeated the black dragon that destroyed villages, killed his parents and his brother, Athelos grabbed the dragon'scale to be used as armor and made a greatsword, drunk the blood and ate the flesh. After that incident he vowed to kill all the black dragons he met, so no more people to face tragic fate like him.
